Monitor type: Muon Detectors, IQSY-NM-64 Neutron Monitors, Underground Muon Detectors, Closed IGY-Type Neutron Monitors, Closed Muon Detectors, Closed Ionization Chambers; Vertical Cutoff: 13.10 GV; Altitude: 5220 meters; # of tubes: 10 tubes (October 12, 1966-November 14, 1968) 12 tubes (November 14, 1968-present); TYPE OF EQUIPMENT AND CONFIGURATION: East-west muon telescopes of threefold coincidence Geiger counters. It detects the total component. East-west and vertical scintillation coincidence muon telescopes. Multi-directional muon solid scintillator coincidence telescope located at 30 m. w. e. underground. Cubical muon telescope. Narrow angle muon telescope. Vertical GM counter telescope and East, West pointing scintillation coincidence telescopes (see below); Comments: Normalizing factor: To normalize the data obtained from 10 tubes to that obtained by 12 tubes, multiply the 10-tube data by 1.1945. Data routinely submitted to the World Data Centers. Data published in the series ""CUADERNOS"", a publication of the Laboratorio de Fisica Cosmica. Data for October 12, 1966 through December 31, 1970 also published in the Atomic Energy of Canada, Ltd., ""Cosmic Ray NM-64 Neutron Monitor Data"" series of reports as a joint publication between the Laboratorio de Fisica Cosmica, La Paz, Bolivia and the Atomic Energy of Canada, Ltd., Chalk River, Ontario, Canada. The vertical GM counter telescope operated for 110 days (not continuous) in 1959. The East-West pointing telescopes operated for 140 days (not continuous) in 1960-61.
